Uki & Peas began with something wonderfully small.
What started as a tiny sketch quietly became a reminder of everything I love: paper, pottery, planes, people, peaceful moments, and the joy found in life's little details.
This is a collection of the things that have shaped me, gathered together one pea at a time.
Every piece is created with the hope that it will bring a little warmth into someone's day. Whether it's a handwritten note, a carefully wrapped gift, an object you'll reach for again and again, or even a one bite, I believe the smallest things often leave the biggest memories.
Uki & Peas celebrates thoughtful living over perfect living.
We believe in slowing down, creating with intention, and finding beauty in the ordinary.

비행기에서 완두콩까지..
For some people, airplanes are simply a means of transportation.
For my family, they have always represented memories, dreams, roots, and a sense of direction.
Perhaps it all began with my grandfather, a designer who worked for the Economic Coordinator’s Office in post-war Seoul. From his student days in Tokyo, he was fascinated by aviation and captivated by the idea of exploring new worlds, cultures, and people. Decades later, on a desk in my home in Singapore, sit the ceramic paint palette and design books he left behind along with the same enduring longing for the sky.
Inspired by him, my father became a Republic of Korea Air Force fighter pilot. For him, the sky was no longer a place of imagination, but a place to which he dedicated his life.
Today, I remain connected to the sky in my own way, building a career in the aerospace and defense industry. Across satellites, aircraft, and technologies that connect people beyond borders, I have found myself continuing a story that began generations before me.
Yet, paradoxically, the faster the world moves, the more I find myself searching for my roots.
As a mother now, I often think about what I hope to pass on to my daughter and how I wish to be remembered by her, and by those who come after her.
That reflection became the beginning of Uki & Peas.
Just as airplanes and satellites connect distant places, our creations are designed to connect people and people, cities and memories, the past and the present.
In a world that moves ever faster, Uki & Peas is a gentle reminder that some things are worth carrying with us: our stories, our heritage, and the threads that connect generations across time and distance.어떤 사람들에게 비행기는 단순한 이동 수단이지만, 저희 가족에게 비행기는 기억과 꿈, 뿌리이자 삶의 방향입니다.
어쩌면 모든 것은 전후(戰後) 시대의 서울 경제조정관실에서 디자이너로 일하셨던 할아버지의 비행기에 대한 애정에서 시작되었는지도 모릅니다.
동경에서 유학하던 시절부터 늘 새로운 세계와 문화, 사람들 사이를 오가며 살아가셨고, 특히 비행기를 사랑하셨습니다. 그 모습을 보고 자란 제 아버지는 대한민국 공군 전투기 조종사가 되셨습니다. 저희 가족에게 하늘은 더 이상 상상의 공간이 아니라, 실제로 삶을 바치는 장소가 되었습니다. 세월이 흘러 저는 지금 항공우주·방산 산업에서 일하며 또 다른 방식으로 하늘과 연결된 삶을 살아가고 있습니다. 책상 한켠에는 할아버지께 물려받은 도자기 팔레트와 오래된 디자인북이 놓여 있고, 또 그 곁에는 세대를 거쳐 이어져 온, 하늘을 향한 동경이 여전히 남아 있습니다.
아이러니하게도 세상이 점점 더 빠르게 움직일수록 저는 오히려 뿌리를 찾고 싶어졌습니다. 제가 어디에서 왔는지, 무엇을 물려받았는지, 그리고 언젠가 제 딸과 그 다음 세대에게 어떤 사람으로 기억되고 싶은지. 그런 질문들 속에서 Uki & Peas를 시작해봅니다.
비행기와 위성이 세상을 연결하듯 Uki & Peas도 사람과 사람, 도시와 기억, 과거와 현재를 이어주고자 합니다.
빠르게 소비되고 잊혀지는 시대 속에서, 오래도록 간직하고 싶은 이야기와 감정을 담아내고 싶습니다.
